General Guidelines:
- Prepare Your Environment:
- Ensure a quiet and distraction-free space to take the exam.
- Turn off all mobile devices or any notifications that may interrupt your focus.
- Have a timer or clock nearby to track the time for each section.
- Timing:
- Each section must be completed within the allotted time. Once the time for a section is up, move to the next section promptly.
- Listening Section: 35 minutes
- Reading Section: 30 minutes
- Writing Section: 30 minutes
- Speaking Section: 15 minutes
- No External Help:
- Do not use any outside resources like books, notes, or online assistance during the exam.
- The goal is to simulate the actual CELPIP test environment.
- Stay on Track:
- Do not pause or interrupt the test once it begins. The aim is to simulate real exam conditions.
Instructions for Each Section:
1. Listening Section (35 minutes)
- Listen carefully to the audio clips. You will not be able to replay the recordings, so make sure to focus on the content the first time.
- You will hear different scenarios (problem-solving, conversations, news reports, etc.). After each audio, you will answer a set of multiple-choice questions.
- Once the listening section ends, move on to the next section without delay.
2. Reading Section (30 minutes)
- Read the provided texts carefully and answer the multiple-choice questions that follow.
- Focus on understanding the meaning of the text, the main points, and any implied information.
- Pay attention to the wording of questions and options, as some may contain subtle details that test your comprehension.
3. Writing Section (30 minutes)
- You will be required to write an email or a short response based on a given scenario.
- Write clearly and concisely, ensuring that your response is well-organized and covers all the points in the prompt.
- Try to stay within the word count (150-200 words), as this is a critical part of the exam’s assessment.
4. Speaking Section (15 minutes)
- You will be asked to respond to two tasks: one involves describing a scene, and the other requires expressing an opinion on a given topic.
- Speak clearly, maintain a steady pace, and try to articulate your ideas effectively.
- Time yourself for each task: 1 minute for the first task, and 1.5 minutes for the second task.
Post-Exam Instructions:
