Mother: Hey sweetie, how was your day?
Daughter: Mommy, I don’t like the food today.
Mother: Oh really? What’s wrong with it?
Daughter: It’s yucky! I don’t want to eat it.
Mother: Hmm, I see. Well, what don’t you like about it?
Daughter:It’s too mushy, and it tastes funny.
Mother: I understand, but remember, sometimes we need to try new things. How about you take a few more bites, and if you still don’t like it, we can find something else?
Daughter:But I don’t want to eat it!
Mother: I know, but it’s important to eat our meals so we can grow big and strong. Can you try just a little bit more for me?
Daughter:Okay, Mommy. I’ll try.
Mother: That’s my brave girl. I’m proud of you for giving it another shot. If you really don’t like it, we’ll figure out something else for dinner, deal?
Daughter: Deal!
Objective: Record and reflect on a personal experience with trying new foods or expressing dislike for certain foods.
