Mother: Sweetie, after you use the potty, what do we do?
Child: (giggles)
Mother: That’s right, we flush the toilet! Can you say “flush”?
Child: (attempts to mimic)
Mother: Good job! Let’s say it together: “flush.” Flush!
Child: (giggles and repeats)
Mother: Yes, just like that! When we’re done using the potty, we push the handle down to make all the yucky stuff go away.
Child: (nods)
Mother: That’s right! And then the toilet gets all clean for the next time we need to use it. We’re big helpers when we flush the toilet, aren’t we?
Child: (giggles and nods)
Mother: Great job, sweetheart! Remember, every time we use the potty, we flush the toilet to keep it clean and fresh.
