What is talking about the future?
How do we talk about the future?
We can use certain words or phrases that help us talk about the future, like “will,” “going to,” or even present tense verbs.
Example:
If we say, “I will go to the park tomorrow,” we’re talking about something we plan to do in the future.
Akshat: Hey Prakhyat, do you know what we’re going to do during the summer vacation?
Prakhyat: No, not yet. What are you planning?
Akshat: Well, I was thinking we could go camping with our families. It would be so much fun!
Prakhyat: Oh yeah, that sounds awesome! I’ve never been camping before.
Akshat: Yeah, it’s really cool. We can roast marshmallows over a campfire and go hiking in the woods.
Prakhyat: That sounds like an adventure! I’m definitely going to ask my parents if we can go camping too.
Akshat: Great! And maybe we can also plan a day trip to the beach. I love building sandcastles and playing in the waves.
Prakhyat: Me too! I can’t wait for summer vacation to start. It’s going to be the best!
Akshat: Yeah, it’s going to be epic! We’re going to have so much fun.
Prakhyat: Definitely! Let’s make sure to plan everything out so we don’t miss out on any of the fun activities.
Akshat: Absolutely! I’ll talk to my parents tonight and see if we can start making our summer vacation plans.
Prakhyat: Sounds like a plan. I’ll do the same. I can’t wait to see what adventures await us this summer!
Akshat: Me too, Prakhyat. It’s going to be an amazing summer vacation!
