Here are some tips to talk about yesterday’s routine:

A conversation sample with Adya and Swaraj:
Adya: Hey Swaraj, guess what I did yesterday!
Swaraj: What’s up, Adya? Tell me all about it.
Adya: Well, in the morning, I woke up and had breakfast with my family. We had pancakes and orange juice.
Swaraj: Yum! What did you do after breakfast?
Adya: After breakfast, I went to school. We had math and science classes in the morning, and then we had lunch. I had a sandwich and some fruit for lunch.
Swaraj: Cool! What happened after school?
Adya: After school, I went to soccer practice. It was really fun, but I got really tired running around so much.
Swaraj: Sounds like a busy day! What did you do in the evening?
Adya: In the evening, I did my homework and then had dinner with my family. We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, my favorite!
Swaraj: Wow, that sounds like a great day, Adya! Thanks for sharing your yesterday’s routine with me.
Adya: No problem, Swaraj! It was a pretty normal day, but I had a lot of fun. What about you, what did you do yesterday?
A conversation sample where Swaraj is telling his mother’s friend how he spent last weekend:
Swaraj: Hi Aunty Anjali! How are you?
Aunty Anjali: Hello Swaraj, I’m doing well, thank you. How about you?
Swaraj: I’m great, thanks! I wanted to tell you about how I spent last weekend. It was really fun!
Aunty Anjali: Oh, I’d love to hear about it! What did you do?
Swaraj: Well, on Saturday morning, my family and I went hiking in the nearby forest. We saw so many cool animals and even had a picnic by a beautiful waterfall.
Aunty Anjali: That sounds amazing! What did you do after hiking?
Swaraj: After hiking, we went to the movies to watch the new superhero movie. It was action-packed and super exciting!
Aunty Anjali: Wow, you had quite an adventurous day! What about Sunday?
Swaraj: On Sunday, I had a sleepover at my friend’s house. We played video games, watched movies, and even built a fort in his living room. It was so much fun!
Aunty Anjali: It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend, Swaraj! I’m glad you had such a great time.
Swaraj: Yeah, it was one of the best weekends ever! Thanks for listening, Aunty Anjali.
Aunty Anjali: Anytime, Swaraj. It was a pleasure hearing about your adventures.

Hello, everyone! My name is Mira, and I study Arts at college. Let me tell you about what I did yesterday—it was a busy but fun day!
I woke up at 7:00 in the morning. The first thing I did was brush my teeth and wash my face. Then, I went to the kitchen and made tea for myself. For breakfast, I had bread and butter with a banana.
After breakfast, I got ready for college. I wore my favorite blue kurta and packed my bag. My first class started at 9:00 AM. We learned about different painting styles in my art class. After that, we talked about how colors can show emotions. It was very interesting!
At 1:00 PM, I had lunch with my friends in the college canteen. I ate a vegetable sandwich and drank some juice. After lunch, I stayed back in the library for a while to complete my homework. I was working on a project about famous Indian artists.
In the evening, I went home and helped my mom prepare dinner. We made chapati and sabzi together. After dinner, I watched a little TV with my younger brother. Then, I read a book about art and ideas for beginners.
Finally, at around 10:00 PM, I got ready for bed. I brushed my teeth again, said goodnight to my family, and went to sleep. That was my day!
