1. Thank you letter after attending a conference or seminar
Read the following letter and answer the questions that follow.
Dear Ms. Brown,
I wanted to personally thank you for organizing the wonderful seminar on “Future of Artificial Intelligence” last week. The presentations were insightful, and the discussions were both thought-provoking and engaging. I especially enjoyed the session on “AI in Healthcare,” which gave me a lot of new ideas for my own work.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Smith, shared some fascinating insights on the role of AI in modern healthcare systems. It was a pleasure to hear how AI is transforming patient care and improving diagnosis accuracy. I also appreciated the opportunity to network with other professionals in the field, which opened up many exciting collaborative possibilities.
I also want to extend my gratitude to all the speakers and attendees who made the seminar a truly memorable experience. The organization was excellent, and I could tell that a lot of effort went into ensuring everything ran smoothly. I hope there will be future events like this, as they provide an excellent opportunity to connect and learn from others.
Once again, thank you for your hard work in making this seminar a success. I look forward to attending future seminars organized by you.
Sincerely, John Smith July 10, 2024

Read the following complaint letter and answer the questions that follow.
Dear Manager,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your restaurant, “The Gourmet Diner,” on Friday, June 30, 2024. My friends and I arrived at 7:00 PM, but we were not seated until almost 7:30 PM, despite having a reservation. After we were seated, the service was slow, and we had to wait an additional 40 minutes before our orders were taken.
When the food finally arrived, it was cold and not as described on the menu. I have been a regular customer of your restaurant, but this experience was disappointing. I have always enjoyed the food and service at “The Gourmet Diner” in the past, but this time, the experience was far below my expectations. I hope you can look into these issues and take corrective measures to improve your service.
Sincerely, Emily Johnson July 5, 2024
