Part-1: Giving Advice
Sample Answer:
If my friend is feeling overwhelmed by their financial situation, I would advise them to start by tracking their spending. Knowing where their money is going is the first step to managing it better. I’d recommend creating a budget, where they can allocate a certain amount for necessities and savings, and cut down on non-essential expenses. They should also look into ways to reduce debt, perhaps by consolidating loans or negotiating lower interest rates. If their situation allows, I’d encourage them to seek financial advice from an expert to get tailored guidance. Lastly, practicing patience and setting realistic goals will help them regain control over time.
Part-2: Talking About a Personal Experience
Sample Answer:
One time, I showed kindness to a stranger when I was waiting in line at a grocery store. The person ahead of me had forgotten their wallet, and I could see that they were embarrassed and stressed. I offered to pay for their items, which weren’t too expensive, and they were so grateful. They thanked me and promised to pay it forward. It felt great to help someone in need, even in a small way, and it reminded me of how simple acts of kindness can make someone’s day better. It wasn’t much, but it made a difference to that person, and it also made me feel good about spreading kindness.
Part-3: Describe a Scene
Sample Answer:
In the coffee shop, a group of friends is sitting at a large wooden table near the window. They’re laughing and chatting, enjoying their drinks. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, and the sound of the espresso machine adds to the cozy atmosphere. One friend is animatedly telling a story while another is nodding along with a smile. The table is cluttered with mugs, a laptop, and a few plates of pastries. The sunlight is streaming in through the window, casting a warm glow over the group. It’s a lively and comfortable scene, filled with warmth and good conversation.
Part-4: Make a Prediction After Looking at a Picture
Sample Answer:
In the picture, I see a man sitting at a desk with papers scattered around. He looks focused, and it seems like he’s working on a project or task that requires attention to detail. I predict that he is likely sorting through important documents, perhaps preparing for a meeting or making a report. The disorganized papers suggest that he may be in the middle of the task and hasn’t yet had a chance to arrange everything properly. It looks like he has a lot on his plate, but he seems determined to get the work done. It might be a busy, productive day for him.
Part-5: Comparing and Persuading
Sample Answer:
Between living close to downtown or in the suburbs, I would prefer to live in the suburbs. While downtown offers easy access to restaurants, shops, and entertainment, the suburbs provide a quieter, more peaceful environment. It’s less crowded, and I’d enjoy the extra space, especially if I wanted a bigger home or backyard. The cost of living in the suburbs is usually lower, and it’s less stressful compared to the busy city life. The only downside might be the longer commute, but I think the tranquility and more affordable housing make it worth the trade-off.
Part-6: Dealing with a Difficult Situation
Sample Answer:
If I received an incorrect order at a store, I would first double-check the receipt to confirm the mistake. Then, I would approach the store staff politely and explain the issue. I’d remain calm and respectful, knowing that mistakes happen. I would ask them to either correct the order or issue a refund, depending on the situation. I think it’s important to be patient and understanding, as the staff may be doing their best to manage a busy environment. If the issue wasn’t resolved on the spot, I’d consider contacting customer service for further assistance.
Part-7: Express Opinion
Sample Answer:
I believe that governments should invest more in space exploration. While space programs can be expensive, the potential benefits are immense. Space exploration can lead to advancements in technology, science, and even medicine, which ultimately benefit society. It also sparks innovation and inspires the next generation of scientists and engineers. Furthermore, exploring space can help us better understand our planet and the universe, which is valuable for long-term survival. Although there are many other pressing issues on Earth, investing in space exploration can offer opportunities for growth and discovery that are too important to ignore.
Part-8: Describing an Unusual Situation
Sample Answer:
During a routine meeting at work, something completely unexpected happened. We were discussing a project update when the lights suddenly went out. At first, everyone thought it was just a temporary glitch, but it turned out to be a power failure in the building. The room went dark, and we were left with no power for a few minutes. Despite the situation, everyone remained calm, and we continued the meeting using our phones’ flashlight features. It was unusual and unexpected, but we managed to keep the meeting going until the power was restored. It turned into a memorable moment for everyone involved.
